Parent Council

The parents at Academe of the Oaks are vital constituents in the life of the school and add significantly to the rich fabric of our extraordinary community.  Our active Parent Council works to develop a deep sense of community among the parents. The keys to building community are developing shared values and emotional connections, providing the ability for individuals to contribute significantly, strengthening collective efforts on behalf of the whole, and cultivating individual satisfaction with being a community member. The parent council at Academe of the Oaks strives to be a strong voice for parents in the school community, encouraging parent input and participation, and facilitating dialogue between parents and the school. The parent council is a volunteer organization, acting as a channel for communication and implementation for the administration and staff. The parent council coordinates parent initiatives, manages major school-wide and grade-centered events, and assists in fundraising efforts.

Our Parent Council is made up of class delegates from each grade. PC meetings are open to all parents of students attending Academe of the Oaks and their participation is welcome.
