“I am privileged to be a member of the faculty at Academe of the Oaks. My colleagues are highly qualified and personable; the atmosphere is professional and congenial. Academe students are eager to learn—and they do learn—in an environment with heavy emphasis on developing the capacity for rational thinking. The administration solicits my input on the curriculum, values my judgment, and allows me to teach. I am particularly fond of the administration’s insistence that major decisions be reached by the faculty through consensus. It is, in a word, groovy!” – George Batten, PhD
