At GSUMUN 2019, we encountered an immensely rigorous two days of work. The peers we established newfound relationships with motivated us to contribute to the hard work at hand. Throughout the long hours of debate, we learned more than we thought we ever would have in two days, we collaborated with many hard working and thinking students, and we found ourselves immersed in a world far from our comfort zone. Over time, we developed a greater understanding of how international relations function. We challenged each other to add our ideas on how we could better mitigate the real-life issues in our global community, and this will be an experience we carry with us throughout the rest of our lives.
