Stewardship
While last year’s theme for the project week was ‘Beloved Community’, this year’s theme is ‘Stewardship’. We feel that this theme is so aligned with our school’s mission. It can mean so many things. For example, stewardship for nature and environment to stewardship for community. Again, the students will be working in groups to define and explore their stewardship projects. The projects are student driven, the teacher acts as facilitator in the background. All the groups work with agreed upon guidelines. The students learn to take initiative, responsibility, collaborate, research and complete a project from the beginning to end. All regular classes are cancelled during that week. The project week will take place from Monday, November 6th through Friday, November 10th. The faculty is looking forward to the week, with great anticipation of the demonstration of what our Academe students are capable of. Please watch for more information.
